Cheuk Yin Ng
A London-based film director, who excels at directing, writing, cinematography and editing. I am also a photographer and videographer.
My recent cinematography work “The Carer” (2025) was selected as an official selection of Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival 2025. “Thirst of Desires” (2024), my directed work, was selected as an official selection of the Golden Short Film Festival 2024. Other notable works include award-winning short films “Budd-E” (2023), and “Chaos in Mist" (2022).
Director's words
Filmmakers are a critical voice in our society. In this crucial juncture of civilisations, when the progressives contend with the conservatives, artificial intelligence meets creative minds, the film industry needs a unique voice that speaks the mind of the era, addresses the critical issues in our society, and creates remarkable art pieces for the world of cinema.
Throughout these years, I have been producing short films that are shedding light on the underrepresented groups in our society “Chaos In Mist (2022)”, exploring the meaning of existence “A Glimpse of Life (2023), and unfolding the distorted stereotypes on gender relations in the modern world “Thirst of Desires (2024)”.
I am also keen on supporting independent filmmakers, which left notable award-winning works “BUDD-E (2023)”, “Animal Religion (2023)”. My recent cinematography work “The Carer” (2025) was selected as an official selection of Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival 2025.
In 2025, I worked alongside with BBC director and cinematographer on their independent feature film "Unfriended" as a Gaffer. In June 2026, I finished principal photography for an independent feature film "The Space Between Decisions".
Alongside my film works, as a member of the contemporary creative force, I've been collaborating with artists, theatre directors, musicians and designers etc. from different cultural and artistic backgrounds to reach out to the global audience.

Following the protagonists, Helia and Katrina's encounters with their sugar daddies, they undoubtedly find themselves situated in a wider and deeper web created by men in the world.
